<h3>Job Description</h3><p>Job Description<p><p>Primoris Canada is an infrastructure contractor serving major firms in the oil, gas, power, petrochemical, and heavy oil industries and include services covering tailings and hydro-transport pipeline construction and maintenance, storage tank construction and maintenance, industrial facilities multi-discipline construction and maintenance, piping fabrication, and pipeline integrity services.</p><p><strong>SUMMARY</strong></p><p>Reporting functionally to the Quality Control Manager and operationally to the Project Manager, the Civil Inspector will perform all Geotechnical Quality Control requirements on a project as defined by applicable codes, client specifications, and Primoris procedures.<strong> </strong></p><p><strong>Location: CNRL Horizon</strong></p><p><strong>Shift: 7/7</strong></p><p><strong>JOB DUTIES</strong></p><ul><li>Onsite inspection of <span >soils/Classification</span> of soils.</li><li>Review of Compaction testing and monitoring for earthworks, sieve analysis and maximum dry density proctor) for granular materials.</li><li>Review and monitoring of pile installation.</li><li>Reviewing project specifications and drawings for all awarded projects to determine quality requirements and planning and implementing their execution.</li><li>Ensuring quality control/quality assurance of field work, field data analysis and interpretation, engineering calculations, and report writing.</li><li>Assisting with preparing and ensuring quality plans, ITP’s, etc. are finalized and approved by the QC Specialist and/or QC Manager prior to commencement of project execution.</li><li>Assisting where requested with internal ITP kickoff meetings for awarded projects.</li><li>Preparing, distributing and kicking off job QC documentation binders with own forces and sub-trades.</li><li>Attending field sites to assess/monitor performance of QC third party testing agencies, where required;</li><li>Review of third-party documentation (Pile Installation Reports, Concrete Compression Reports, etc.).</li></ul><p><strong>QUALIFICATIONS </strong></p><ul><li>A minimum of 5 years of related experience</li><li>Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Geotechnical (Civil or Geological) Engineering</li><li>Registration or eligibility for registration as a Professional Engineer in Alberta</li><li>High proficiency in computer technology and business applications, including MS Office</li><li>Strong technical and problem-solving skills</li><li>Ability to Audit third party companies</li><li>Ability to work in a confident, self-directed manner prioritizing a high volume of work</li><li>Strong interpersonal skills capable of leading a team</li></ul><p><strong>SKILLS</strong></p><ul><li>Strong interpersonal and presentation skills</li><li>Able to interact with all levels of management</li><li>Detail-orientated</li><li>Advanced computer skills with proficiency in use of MS Office products</li><li>Strong verbal and written communication skills</li><li>Ability to represent the company in a professional and courteous manner</li><li>Organized and self-motivated</li></ul></p></p>Browse Jobs in Canada by City
