As the chief academic architect of Saskatchewan’s only polytechnic, the Provost and Vice President, Academic advances a forward-looking academic vision that fuels innovation, ensures global-level quality, and responds creatively to the evolving needs of learners, industries, and communities. The role champions academic policy, applied research, instructional excellence, and strategic partnerships that generate new opportunities, expand revenue, and shape an exceptional student experience. As a member of the Executive Leadership Team and the Senior Leadership, the Provost and Vice President, Academic helps steer institutional strategy, supports Board and presidential priorities, and engages government and key partners to advance Saskatchewan Polytechnic’s unique and exciting academic mission.</p><p>The ideal candidate will hold a PhD and bring significant academic leadership experience. To be successful in the role, the Provost will demonstrate a record of leading transformation, inspiring innovation, cultivating strong relationships, driving operational and financial excellence, and building a vibrant culture based on trust and transparency. They will anticipate emerging sectoral trends, champion creative thinking and smart risk taking, and model a learner-centered, partnership-driven approach. They will demonstrate an entrepreneurial approach and operational discipline to support sustainable growth. Above all, they will lead with authenticity, motivating teams and shaping a positive, high-performing culture.
