We are seeking an experienced Electrical Project Manager to join our team and help drive successful project execution from start to finish.
Position Overview
The Electrical Project Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and delivering electrical projects on time, on budget, and to the highest quality standards. Reporting to the Operations Manager, the ideal candidate has experience managing complex electrical installations and coordinating with multiple stakeholders in fast-paced environments, preferably in the data center industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage all phases of electrical projects from initiation through close-out.
- Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, forecasts, and required tracking sheets.
- Break project scope into clear work packages, including coordination with subcontractors.
- Review drawings, specifications, submittals, and owner-supplied vendor requirements to ensure accuracy, compliance, and constructability.
- Participate in early design-assist coordination with engineering teams, the owner, and key stakeholders.
- Lead project meetings and maintain strong communication with clients, consultants, suppliers, and internal teams.
- Coordinate closely with field supervisors, trades, and logistics teams to support procurement, fabrication, and on-site execution.
- Track progress, project timelines, milestones, deliverables, and scheduling updates.
- Manage change orders, maintain detailed documentation, and ensure smooth communication between office and field teams.
- Use cloud-based software for RFIs, submittals, document control, and project tracking.
- Resolve site issues and provide technical guidance as needed.
- Ensure all work adheres to safety standards, electrical codes, and company policies.
- Support commissioning activities, maintain required documentation, and assist with turnover packages.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships by providing timely updates on schedules, documentation, and project status.
Qualifications
- 3-5 years of experience in electrical project management
- Data center project experience is a strong asset
- Technical background in electrical systems, installation methods, and construction processes
- Strong understanding of electrical codes, industry standards, and safety regulations
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Electrical trade certification or engineering/tech diploma/degree is an asset
