<p>Very successful company in the Brantford, Canada area has an outstanding opportunity available for a Production Manager. This position will manage a 24/7 production department with about 40-50 employees. Duties: Ensure day-to-day safe, effective, efficient and environmentally sound operation of production facility through monitoring and development of operations team and coordination of activities with other plants and corporate departments. </p><p>Monitors production operations in order to recognize trends, opportunities to enhance procedures, potential problems, safety issues or other factors that might impact production. <b>Minimum Qualifications:</b></p><ul><li>BS in mechanical or chemical engineering or equivalent through experience</li></ul><li></li><p><b>Minimum Experience:</b></p><ul><li>5-7 years manufacturing management experience in a plastics or polymers environment </li></ul><p><b>Job-Specific Skills:</b></p><ul><li>Strong and proven management and leadership skills</li><li>Results driven and action oriented</li><li>Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal</li></ul><p> </p><ul><li>A working knowledge of lean manufacturing, six sigma and 5S methodologies and continuous improvement processes in general. </li><li>In-depth and expert knowledge of plastics processing including materials, equipment and process control</li></ul><p><br></p><ul><li>Ability to understand, interpret and implement company of Policies & Procedures </li><li>Sound Business Skills & Understanding</li><li>Strong Computer Skills: ERP systems, Microsoft office suite, </li><li>Working experience in an ISO 9000 environment</li><li>Knowledge of formal safety programs, preferable S.T.O.P.</li><li>Strong problem solving skills</li></ul><p> Experience with plastics extrusion, thermoplastics, HDPE, LDPE, LLDPE, compounding, polyolefins, polyethylene or polypropylene would be a plus.</p>
