About the role

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Product Manager to lead our ongoing integration projects involving Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS) and payroll systems from the point of sale to post-integration. As a tech-enabled employee benefits company, we prioritize seamless integration of our clients” HRIS platforms with their accounts, enhancing their experience and operational efficiency. The successful candidate will manage multiple HRIS integration projects, collaborate with the development team to refine integration processes and technology, and ensure continuous improvement in our service delivery.

What you”ll do

  • Manage the full lifecycle of HRIS and payroll integration projects, from initiation through to completion and ongoing support.

  • Oversee integrations using both APIs for real-time data pulls and flat-file CSV transfers.

  • Scope payroll file requirements with clients and HRIS vendors, and collaborate with data and tech teams to ensure seamless integration and delivery.

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients throughout the integration process, ensuring clear communication and exceptional customer service.

  • Monitor project progress against goals and timelines, adjusting project plans to meet objectives.

  • Analyze integration performance data to identify trends, anticipate potential issues, and devise proactive solutions.

  • Facilitate any training and support for internal teams and clients.

  • Apply various project management methodologies such as Agile, Waterfall, and Lean to ensure efficient project execution and delivery.

Must-Have Qualifications

  • Demonstrated data literacy with the ability to understand and utilize performance metrics effectively.

  • Proven ability to work independently and manage projects with minimal supervision.

  • Progressive responsibility in program management, showing a clear development of skills and responsibilities over a minimum of 4 years.

  • Strong customer-facing skills with the ability to communicate complex technical details clearly and persuasively.

  • Experience in managing semi-technical projects, preferably involving software or platform integrations.

  • Familiarity with various project management methodologies, ensuring adaptability and effective management across different project types.

  • Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Excel, capable of manipulating data, using advanced formulas, and creating pivot tables and charts for data analysis.

Nice-to-Have Qualifications

  • Familiarity with HRIS platforms such as Dayforce, ADP, UKG, or Workday. Understanding the functionality and integration capabilities of these systems is a plus.

  • Proficiency in SQL and experience in performing complex data analysis.

  • Strong analytical skills with a track record of data-driven decision-making.

  • Experience with tools like Confluence for documentation, and Microsoft Teams or Slack for communication.

  • Previous experience working with remote or distributed teams, demonstrating effective virtual collaboration and communication.

  • Familiarity with Airflow or similar tools for scheduling and automating data transfers.

  • Skills in Tableau and PowerBI for business intelligence and data visualization.

  • Basic understanding of MySQL, PostgreSQL, or similar.

  • Basic understanding of AWS Cloud Services.


  • Bachelor’s Degree (Desirable): A bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as Business Administration, Information Systems, Computer Science, Human Resources, or a related field.

  • Project Management Certification (Desirable): Such as PMP or Agile certification.

  • Technical Certifications (Optional): Related to specific technologies or methodologies (e.g., Agile Scrum Master, SQL certifications).
