<p><p>Location: Woodstock Allmix ON</p><p>Job Req ID: 11243</p><p>Join Our Amazing Team And Contribute As a</p><p>Plant Superintendent</p><p>Objective: To supervise the safe and efficient operation of a concrete batch plant including concrete mixer drivers and plant maintenance to ensure delivery of quality product, timely delivery and customer satisfaction.</p><p>This is a contract position covering a maternity leave.</p><h3>Scope</h3><p>Volume: 20,000 m3</p><p>Staff: 5 employees</p><p>Customers: 70+ of varying sizes and sophistication</p><p>Tools: Command Concrete Dispatch software and Concrete Direct GPS system</p><h3>Responsibilities</h3><ul><li>Batching: In a fast paced, customer oriented environment, responsible for scheduling concrete deliveries, providing pricing to customers, ordering raw material as required for production and ensuring accurate batching to produce a quality product to meet the customers' requirements.</li><li>Health and Safety: Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving, and adhering to safety policies.</li><li>HR/Coaching & Mentoring: Supervise drivers and maintain a positive work environment</li><li>Environment: Demonstrate a commitment to meet/exceed environmental compliance.</li><li>Reporting: Submit reports on time to area administer. Keep accurate records.</li><li>Customer Service: Communicate with customers, the Plant Manager and Sales Representative to ensure a positive customer experience and identify sales opportunities.</li><li>Transportation & Logistics: Creates efficient scheduling for routine maintenance, schedule jobs to ensure best use of fleet, effectively utilize maintenance programs to maximize plant up-time and manage costs.</li><li>Administration: Manage inventory of materials and products, physical inventory counts, order materials, ensure payroll is accurate.</li><li>Operations Analysis and Action Tracking: Track performance, establish effective action plans and continuously improve the operations. Maximize turns per day / per truck.</li><li>Plant Image: Maintains the plant in accordance with standard guidelines, ensure all policies are followed.</li></ul><h3>Specific Accountabilities</h3><ul><li>Safety performance objective is “Zero”, manage safe and healthy work practices of all staff</li><li>Responsible to achieve targeted KPI’s i.e. safety, service, volume delivered</li><li>Customer satisfaction</li><li>Utilization of best practices and operational management tools</li><li>Build strong employee morale</li><li>Implementation and adherence of Company policies, including environmental excellence, compliance with governmental regulations and record keeping</li><li>Development of operational personnel</li><li>Optimize productivity, and maximize labor and equipment utilization</li></ul><h3>Qualification Profile</h3><ul><li>Minimum 3-5 year’s supervisory experience</li><li>Experience in the ready mix business preferred</li><li>Excellent Communication skills – verbal and written</li><li>Good organization and planning skills; able to multi-task, prioritize and maintain composure in a busy environment</li><li>Computer skills (Word, Excel, SAP, Command-Alkon)</li><li>Self-Motivated</li><li>Available to work overtime as needed</li><li>Customer Service oriented</li></ul><p>This posting is for an existing vacancy at Amrize Canada Inc.</p></p>Create Your Resume First
