IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL:
- Rapidly learn the Chemelex domain and associated vertical markets, challenge established technologies and practices, and champion innovation.
- Collaborate with the commercial teams to propose product solutions, gain feedback, and drive product commercialization rapidly.
- Suggest hardware design leveraging internal / external resources toward rapid prototyping.
- Document insights, designs, and technical observations through formal reports, design documents, test plans, and intellectual property (IP) disclosures (Chemelex will retain ownership of any co-developed IP).
YOU HAVE:
- Deep experience / expertise in photonics, photo-electronics, and associated sensor systems.
- Experience with Optical Fibers, including Polymer Optical Fiber (POF)applications for emission and sensing.
- Education in Physics, Electrical Engineering, or related discipline.
- 10+ years of experience with preference for photonics design/development or R&D.
- Executed projects requiring analytical thinking and problem-solving techniques.
- A passion for taking initiative, overcoming obstacles, and assisting the development of novel technical solutions toward winning products.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with emphasis on collaboration, teaching others, and sharing knowledge.
