THE POSITION
ATTA Elevators is seeking a motivated and detailoriented People & Culture Administrator to join our Calgary office. Reporting directly to the People & Culture Lead, this onsite role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fastpaced environment, enjoys taking ownership, and is driven by results.
This position offers the opportunity to work across multiple entities, contribute to a highperforming Business Services team, and play a key role in shaping the employee experience at ATTA Elevators.
Duties and responsibilities will include but are not limited to the following:
Recruitment Tasks
- Manage the full recruitment cycle across a variety of roles
- Partner with hiring managers to attract, select, and retain top talent
- Build strong relationships with operations managers to understand hiring needs
- Utilize HRM platforms and applicant tracking systems to manage recruitment workflows
- Draft, update, and publish job postings internally and externally
- Source candidates through online platforms, job boards, networks, and community partnerships
- Screen resumes, conduct phone interviews, and assess candidate fit
- Coordinate and schedule interviews with hiring managers
- Conduct reference checks, credential verification, and background checks as required
- Support final candidate selection and prepare offer letters/employment agreements
- Maintain accurate recruitment and candidate records
General HR Tasks
- Create onboarding packages and manage onboarding checklists
- Liaise with IT and Shared Services to ensure equipment and system access are ready for new hires
- Enroll new hires in group benefits and employee programs
- Respond to HR-related inquiries with professionalism and confidentiality
- Assist with job description updates and role requirements in collaboration with department leads
- Support offboarding procedures, including termination documentation and system deactivations
- Reconcile monthly group benefits and ensure accuracy in enrollments and deductions
- Update HR databases to reflect changes in employment status (new hires, leaves, vacation, terminations)
- Track and support vacation accruals and requests
- Maintain compliance with employment standards and company policies
- Prepare HR reports and metrics for management review
- Assist with performance management processes and documentation
- Coordinate employee training and development initiatives
- Support employee engagement activities and recognition programs
- Ensure confidentiality and proper handling of sensitive employee information
- Participate in HR audits and ensure accurate record-keeping
Qualifications & Skill Requirements
- Postsecondary certificate or diploma in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
- Minimum 2 years of experience in HR
- Experience with employee agreements and contracts
- Strong knowledge of federal/provincial Human Rights Commission guidelines and legislation
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams); experience with Microsoft D365 Business Central is an asset
- Familiarity with HR technologies and analytics tools; ideally, ADP (Workforce).
- Experience supporting unionized environments is an asset
- Experience with U.S. based teams is an asset
- Exceptional attention to detail, critical thinking, and organizational skills
- Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks effectively
- Discretion in handling sensitive information
