Key Responsibilities
Operate asphalt pavers accurately to ensure smooth, even surface application
Monitor screed performance, mat depth, and paving quality throughout operations
Collaborate closely with spreader, roller operators, and labourers to maintain efficient workflow
Adjust machine settings to suit varying paving conditions and materials
Conduct daily pre- and post-operation inspections and basic equipment maintenance
Follow project specifications, foreman instructions, and safety guidelines
Mentor crew members and support site safety, especially in foreman or supervisory roles
Quickly identify and resolve paving or equipment issues to maintain quality
Qualifications
Minimum 3 years experience operating asphalt pavers in a paving environment
Experience on both residential and industrial paving projects
Preferred foreman or supervisory experience, ideally with an operating foreman background
Strong knowledge of asphalt paving techniques, material properties, and screed control
Reliable, punctual, and able to lead or work collaboratively as part of a paving crew
Must have a valid driver’s license
Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and lift up to 50 lbs
