Are you a strategic sales leader with a passion for safety in oversized transportation and logistics? Join Bushell Transport Co. Ltd. and drive success in the heavy haul and over-dimensional freight industry. Were seeking an Oversize Freight Sales Associate to expand our client base, grow long-term partnerships, and help us bring even more quality into this market.
What Youll Do:
- Develop and implement strategic sales plans to meet company targets with other team members.
- Build and maintain lasting client relationships through exceptional service and tailored solutions.
- Collaborate with logistics and operations team to enhance our load management process.
- Actively pursue new business through cold calling, networking, market research and social media.
- Prepare and deliver compelling sales pitches to showcase Bushell Transports unique capabilities.
- Reduce reliance on load boards by cultivating repeat and referral clients.
- Provide mentorship and leadership to the sales team.
- Explore opportunities to expand into new areas of heavy haul that are outside our current scope.
What You Bring:
- 5 - 10+ years of experience in the transportation industry.
- 5 - 10+ years in customer service or client-facing roles.
- Proven track record in freight sales, business development, or logistics coordination.
- Approachable and coachable, a desire to hunt for the best practice to improve performance.
- Strong computer skills with experience in SharePoint, Teams and Microsoft 365.
- Communication and negotiation skills
- Ability to work independently and travel as needed to client sites.
- Passion for safe work practices, heavy haul, over-dimensional freight, and high-stakes logistics.
Work Environment:
- Work in an office environment or remote/hybrid with possible travel for client meetings and job site visits.
- Occasional exposure to weather, dust, and shop environments.
- Must be comfortable performing site walkarounds.
