Position Overview


The person in this role is responsible for managing all sales activities within their defined territory. In this role decision making, accountability, strong analytical thinking, and follow through are critical. This individual must be a trustworthy, driven, and a self-starter.

Responsibilities

  • Sells established accounts and identifies/opens/sells new customers
  • Attends regular sales meetings
  • Provides detailed monthly, quarterly, and yearly territory sales budgets
  • Responsible for sales, margin, and accounts receivable within territory
  • Identifies target accounts and programs and develops strategy to achieve growth
  • Constantly seeks to learn new skills and deepen product knowledge and expertise
  • Develops strong relationships with management, co-workers, and key suppliers
  • Responsible for managing program specific inventory within customer base
  • Nurtures new customers, maintains/grows sales with existing customers
  • Builds rapport and credibility
  • Develops collaborative and consultative relationships
  • Establishes and maintains programs
  • Responsible for regular visits to entire customer base

Qualifications

  • Post secondary education from a recognized post secondary institution
  • 5+ years inside/outside B2B sales
  • Knowledge of lumber and plywood and experience within the building products industry is preferred
  • Energetic with excellent work ethic
  • Goal and action oriented
  • Self-starter, forward thinking and strong at planning
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to provide direction to inside support staff
  • Must be computer savvy (Word, Outlook, Excel)
  • Solid customer service attitude with excellent negotiation skills

Please note, as part of our interview process we ask candidates to participate in a series of assessments. These assessments are designed to help more fully understand the candidate’s attributes. Assessments are administered online and take approximately 20 minutes.

Job Type: Full-time



Pay: $65,000.00-$75,000.00 per year
