Job Description

Position Summary

NOIC ACADEMY is seeking a dedicated and passionate Chinese Teacher to join our high school faculty. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging and rigorous instruction in Chinese to students in Grades 11&12, preparing students for academic success and scientific literacy, while fostering a positive learning environment.


Key Responsibilities

· Plan, develop, and deliver effective Chinese lessons in alignment with the Ontario curriculum standards

· Assess, evaluate, and report on student progress using a variety of assessment tools.

· Maintain classroom discipline and a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment.

· Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs and learning styles of students.

· Integrate technology and digital tools to enhance student learning and collaboration

· Participate in school activities, staff meetings, mentor-teacher conferences, and professional development.

· Collaborate with the Admission Department to assign new students to mentors.


Qualifications:

· Bachelor’s degree in Chinese/ Literature, or a related field.

· Teacher Certification in Ontario (OCT) is preferred.

· Minimum 2 years of experience teaching Chinese at the high school level preferred.

· Strong knowledge of Chinese curriculum and pedagogy.

· Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.

· A commitment to student success and lifelong learning.
