Expect an environment that celebrates experimentation, open communication, and continuous learning—where your ideas truly make an impact.</p><h3>Responsibilities</h3><ul><li>Design, implement, and maintain features in OpenStack core projects (Nova, Neutron, Cinder, Glace, Trove, Ironic, Freezer, Keystone, Magnum, Heat, Octavia).</li><li>Support architecture and platform decisions, ensuring alignment with our Cloud strategy.</li><li>Participate in code reviews, CI / CD pipelines, testing, and deployment.</li><li>Collaborate with squads and Platform Ops to ensure stable, production-ready OpenStack services.</li><li>Contribute to upstream OpenStack projects, submitting patches, fixes, and documentation.</li><li>Support migration, upgrades, and integration work between OpenStack and other platform components.</li><li>Document solutions, processes, and architecture decisions for internal and organizational use.</li></ul><h3>Requirements (Must have)</h3><ul><li>Strong hands-on experience in Python development (3+ years preferred).</li><li>Solid understanding of Linux systems and cloud infrastructure.</li><li>Proven experience with OpenStack deployment, operation, or development.</li><li>Knowledge of CI / CD, automation tools (e.g., Ansible, Terraform), and containerization (e.g., Kubernetes).</li><li>Willingness to contribute upstream and collaborate actively with the OpenStack community.</li><li>Fluent communication skills in English (spoken and written).</li></ul><h3>Good to have (Merit skills)</h3><ul><li>Experience with OpenStack networking ( Neutron / OVN ), compute ( Nova ), storage ( Cinder , Ceph ), or database services ( Trove ).</li><li>Familiarity with bare-metal provisioning ( Ironic ) or high-availability projects ( Masakari ).</li><li>Prior participation in open-source projects or upstream contributions.</li><li>Knowledge of cloud observability, telemetry, or security integration.</li></ul><h3>Qualification</h3><ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field—or equivalent experience and training.</li><li>Relevant OpenStack or cloud certifications are an asset.</li></ul><h3>Qualities</h3><p>At ELITS Canada, we believe great people make great impact.
