Job Duties: As a member of the multidisciplinary team, the OT will:consult with school-based staff, families and district personnel to provide a continuum of occupational therapy goals to students from Pre-K grade 12conduct screenings, assessments and documentation to support the unique learning needs of children using formal and informal measurescommunicate and interpret results to team members provide recommendations for universal, targeted and specialized services based on data gathered prepare written assessment reports when required support teachers and parents to implement strategies effectively collaborate to provide school and system level professional development to build system capacity around supporting children and students OT and sensory needs provide teachers with classroom-based supports based on individual and group needs supervise Occupational Therapy assistants work closely with school-based therapy assistants to ensure ongoing treatment for students requiring targeted and specialized services collaborate with district support services team to provide effective ongoing supports to schools work collaboratively with therapists from multiple service providers Ideal candidates skills & abilities: Strong understanding and appreciation of Grasslands Public Schools mission and values.
