We’re looking for a dedicated Mold Maker to join our team on the Day Shift (6:30 AM – 3:00 PM, Monday–Friday).

POSITION SUMMARY:

We are looking for an experienced Mold Maker to join our team. In this role, you will responsible for building and maintaning high-quality mold used in the production of fiberglass and composite parts for automotive and industrial applications. The right candidate will bring hands-on skills, attention to detail, and a passion for craftmanship.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:
  • Build and repair composite molds from CAD drawings, patterns, or plug models.
  • Work with fiberglass, carbon fiber, and resins using lay-up, vacuum bagging, infusion, or resin transfer techniques.
  • Mix and apply gelcoat, adhesives, and resins as per project requirements.
  • Trim, assemble, and finish molds using hand tools, power tools, and CNC equipment.
  • Perform surface finishing, woodwork, and body fairing to ensure mold quality.
  • Inspect molds to ensure accuracy, durability, and reusability.
  • Keep molds in good condition through repair and maintenance.
  • Support and mentor junior team members by sharing knowledge and safe work practices.
  • Maintain a strong focus on safety, quality, and efficiency.
WHAT YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL:
  • High school diploma or equivalent (technical or trade school is an asset).
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in composite mold making or related trade.
  • Strong skills in fiberglass/carbon fiber lay-up and mold fabrication.
  • Good knowledge of resins, adhesives, and mold release systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
  • Experience using measuring tools, templates, gauges, and power/hand tools.
  • CNC machining or CAD/CAM knowledge is an asset but not required.
  • Strong attention to detail, problem-solving, and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work independently and mentor others when needed.
