Responsibilities

• The Maintenance Manager is responsible for overseeing preventative maintenance and repairs to MHE/Building and operates a refrigeration plant. Manages the repairs on all equipment throughout the CFC. Contributes to a positive and productive working environment. Maintains record keeping of CFC equipment and building, rack inspections, all battery maintenance and repairs.
• Follow and maintain preventative maintenance schedule on all equipment and building.
• Operate Ammonia and Glycol Refrigeration Plant; Class A refrigeration certification required.
• Ensure proper working condition of all refrigeration and heating systems; regular inspection, repair and replacement of warehouse racking, equipment and fire system maintenance.
• Promote a safe work culture and support the health and safety program; provide instruction, information, supervision and facilities to encourage ongoing safe practices.
• Coordinate daily activities of maintenance staff.
• Prepare annual budget and capital expenditures; plan and schedule all equipment repairs/replacements in conjunction with purchasing as determined by the approved capital budget.
• Ensure service agreements with third-party providers are upheld; source contractors and suppliers to meet safety, efficiency and cost-effectiveness criteria.
• Understand Preventive Maintenance Programs such as Verisae, Capital Asset Tracking.
• Manage repairs and PMs on all equipment and building; manage parts inventory and re-ordering of replacement parts as needed.
• Ensure completion of all daily inspections in a thorough and timely manner.
• Adhere to and implement all applicable Food Safety program requirements and relevant SOPs.
• All other duties as required to maintain the CFC.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma.
• 4th class (refrigeration) power engineer or higher, or a Class A Refrigeration Operator Certificate.
• Experience in industrial forklift and pallet jack repair and maintenance.
• Experience in industrial battery maintenance and repair.
• Experience in welding and electrical repairs.
• Experience working with Excel spreadsheets for tracking and scheduling battery maintenance, battery watering, battery cleaning, rack torque, plumb inspections, monthly rack inspections and store electric pallet jacks.
• Ability to communicate with suppliers, contractors and team members; ability to safely use required tools.
• Experience in use of Hot Work Permits.
