We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team at Canad Inns Destination Center Portage la Prairie. As a Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing various equipment and systems within our facility. This role requires availability to work weekdays and weekends, days and evenings, and holidays as needed.
Important Notice: This position is located in Portage la Prairie, MB.
Responsibilities:
- Maintains rooms in operating condition by performing repairs as needed.
- Repairs all appliances and damaged bathroom fixtures; executes general plumbing as needed.
- Maintains overall appearance of rooms; replaces broken mirrors, hangs fixtures, painting, etc.
- Repairs and maintains room's heating/ventilating/air conditioning systems
- Performs preventative maintenance throughout the hotel.
- Repairs furniture, carpet, marble, tile windows, mirrors and decorations as necessary.
- All other duties as required.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Maintenance Technician
- Ability to safely work at heights of up to 10 feet
- Physically capable of safely lifting up to 50 lbs
- Ability to work both indoors and outdoors in all seasons
- Ability to work independently
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Comfortable working in all weather conditions
