Maintenance Mechanic<BR><BR> PERMANENT 3 shift rotation - up to $35/hr + benefits<BR><BR>LOCATION: Mississauga, Ontario<BR><BR>Qualifications:<BR><BR> Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering OR Licensed Millwright OR equivalent hands-on experience<BR> 5 years+ experience in a similar role in manufacturing environment<BR> Mechanical aptitude and hands-on experience using wrenches, hammers, drills, other tools<BR> Proficient in troubleshooting techniques to solve machine issues<BR> Hands-on, self-motivated individual<BR> Record of successfully managing & executing multiple projects while meeting quality, timeline and budgetary objectives<BR> Ability to be a team player and interact with Operators, Management team members<BR> Computer literate<BR><BR>Duties:<BR><BR> Serve as a key technical maintenance resource for the manufacturing operation, focusing on preventative maintenance, troubleshooting and problem resolution for electronic / mechanical equipment issues<BR> Work with a continuous improvement mindset to reduce cost, breakdowns, and wastage<BR> Provide expertise and knowledge when required to Operators, Lead Hands, Supervisors, Managers<BR> Maintain adherence to GMP/AIB, Health and Safety standards and company regulations<BR> Assembling and installing machines ; test to make sure they are working correctly<BR> Managing the layout and placement of equipment and machinery in factory settings to ensure minimum downtime<BR> Perform inspections and lock-out procedures as required<BR> Identifying and repairing problematic parts of a machine by running tests, making temporary repairs, or installing new parts<BR> Perform preventive maintenance by identifying and correcting potential issues, removing worn out pieces and lubricating mechanical parts<BR> Use mechanical technical skills to effectively read documents such as specifications, machine manuals, and blueprints<BR> Participate in the health and safety, food safety and environmental programs<BR> Adhere to safety guidelines and work in compliance with safety regulationsBrowse Jobs in Canada by City
