<p>Our client in the mining and petrochemical industry just 20 minutes north of Barrie, ON is growing and in need of a Manual Machinist to join their team!<br>

<strong>The Role:</strong>

<ul>
<li>
<p>Set up and safely operate manual machines to precise specifications</p>

<li>
<p>Machine petrochemical and static castings following SOPs and ISO-standard routing instructions</p>

<li>
<p>Accurately record work data and heat numbers on operator worksheets</p>

<li>
<p>Troubleshoot machining issues independently and maintain equipment functionality</p>

<li>
<p>Grind custom tools on a pedestal grinder and operate VDF lathes for advanced machining tasks</p>

<li>
<p>Work with a variety of equipment including horizontal boring mills and portable bevellers</p>
<li>
<p>Maintain a clean and safe work environment while adhering to all safety protocols</p>

<li>Report equipment or part defects promptly and collaborate with supervisors or team leads
</ul>

<strong>You Bring:</strong></p>

<ul>
<li>High school diploma (Grade 12) required
<li>
<p><strong>Machinist Apprenticeship Certification </strong>preferred; Red Seal is an asset</p>

<li>
<p>4+ years of machining experience in a manufacturing setting preferred</p>

<li>
<p>Strong ability to read and interpret technical drawings and procedures</p>

<li>
<p>Familiarity with ERP or SAP systems is an asset</p>

<li>
<p>Proficient with measuring tools (e.g., vernier, micrometers, bore gauges)</p>

<li>
<p>Solid understanding of surface requirements, tolerances, and maintenance procedures</p>

<li>
<p>Experience using overhead cranes or jib hoists is an asset</p>
