CNC Machinist – Multiple Shifts Available (Full-Time)
Location: SE Calgary Industrial Area
Pay: $22–$28/hr depending on experience
Shifts: Day, Evening, and Weekend schedules available
We are partnering with a rapidly growing manufacturing operation that has recently launched a high-volume production facility in Calgary. The team is expanding significantly and is looking for CNC Machinists who are confident operating CNC lathes and/or mills in a fast-paced, safety-focused environment.
This is an excellent opportunity for machinists who enjoy production machining, fine-tuning cycle times, and working with brand-new equipment. If you're someone who takes pride in hitting targets accurately and efficiently, this environment is built for you.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Operate CNC lathes and/or mills in accordance with established safety and quality procedures
- Load and unload raw materials, verify correct materials, and manage basic material tracking
- Perform pre-use machine checks to identify wear, tool condition, and potential issues
- Monitor machining processes, intervene when parts fall out of specification, and replace inserts or adjust offsets as needed
- Measure in-process and finished parts using precision measurement tools
- Deburr, mark, and prepare parts for the next production step
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
Equipment & Work Environment
- Brand-new CNC equipment (Puma platform)
- Programs are pre-set, with three primary part types
- Start by operating two machines, with progression toward up to four per operator
- One on-shift supervisor and supportive team environment
- Brand-new large facility with room for continued expansion
What We’re Looking For
Must-Have Skills:
- Experience operating CNC lathes and/or mills in a manufacturing environment
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and work instructions
- Comfortable using micrometers, calipers, and other precision measurement tools
- Ability to safely lift and move materials up to 50 lbs
Nice-to-Haves (Not Required):
- Formal machining certificate or apprenticeship (not required to be Red Seal)
- Experience in high-volume production environments
- Previous experience running multiple machines simultaneously
Shifts Available
- Day Shift: Monday–Thursday
- Evening Shift: Monday–Thursday
- Weekend Shifts: Rotating 12-hour schedules
Compensation & Employment Details
- $22–$28/hr depending on experience and shift
- Full-time, long-term opportunity
