Responsible for ensuring effective and efficient delivery of learning programs via the Bank’s Learning Management System (LMS). This role supports and ensures optimal LMS performance through identification, resolution and prevention of system errors.
Is this role right for you? In this role you will:
- Champions a customer focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems and knowledge.
- Completes all assigned projects and day-to-day tasks accurately, ensuring timely delivery of LMS assets.
- Serves as a subject matter expert for key stakeholders across Scotiabank regarding LMS content administration by advising on platform capabilities and limitations.
- Manages and enforces LMS content configuration standards and processes.
- Supports all LMS configurations including creation of courses, programs, curricula, quizzes, surveys (etc.), according to established standards and requirements.
- Identifies opportunities for process improvements and proposes solutions to resolve challenges.
- Responds to learning inquiries received through the Case Management System in support of the Learning Operations Advisor and Employee Services teams.
- Escalates LMS issues or enhancement suggestions to the appropriate stakeholder groups, tracking progress and documenting resolutions as appropriate.
- Adheres to LMS Operations established processes and SLAs.
- Understands how the Bank’s risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions.
- Actively pursues effective and efficient operations of his/her respective areas in accordance with Scotiabank’s Values, its Code of Conduct and the Global Sales Principles, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational, compliance, AML/ATF/sanctions and conduct risk.

Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? – We’d love to work with you if you have:
- Manages and enforces LMS content configuration standards and processes.
- Post-secondary Degree or Diploma in technology related area
- Previous experience in learning management system administration and technical support
- Strong knowledge of Organizational structure and complexity
- Strong problem solving skills in supporting and troubleshooting online technology
- High proficiency with MS Office Suites, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook
- Experience with SuccessFactors or other major LMS application is considered an asset
- Strong verbal communication skills, both verbal and written
- Excellent organization and process definition/management skills
- Flexibility to adapt to a variety of tasks, functions and changing priorities
- French and Spanish language skills are considered an asset
