Job Description – Legal Counsel
Our client
- Is a private equity firm in Downtown Toronto.
Responsibilities
- Draft, review, and negotiate a range of transaction documents, including purchase agreements, limited partnership agreements, subscription agreements, and side letters
- Review and negotiate various firm-related agreements, contracts, and supporting documentation
- Build strong working relationships and collaborate closely with internal teams on transactional and firm-wide matters
- Manage and direct external legal counsel and advisors to support transactions and related initiatives
Requirements
- 2-6 years of corporate M&A experience.
- Experience with private equity, debt or funds is an asset but not required.
- A license to practice in Ontario.
- Strong analytical, negotiation, communication and drafting skills.
- High level of attention to detail.
