What You'll Do
- Lead and perform high-quality carpentry work - from framing and millwork to fine finishing - ensuring every detail meets Oaken's craftsmanship standards.
- Read and interpret construction drawings and specifications with accuracy and foresight.
- Plan ahead: identify challenges early, coordinate with the project manager, and keep timelines and budgets on track.
- Mentor apprentices and junior carpenters, modeling professionalism, efficiency, and pride in the craft.
- Enforce safety, quality control, and jobsite organization at all times.
- Represent Oaken Builders with professionalism and humility - with the mindset that every home reflects our name and your workmanship.
What You Bring
- 5+ years of residential carpentry experience, with lead or supervisory experience strongly preferred.
- Proven skill in custom home building, renovations, and finishing carpentry.
- Strong ability to plan, problem-solve, and manage priorities in a fast-paced, detail-driven environment.
- A leadership style rooted in accountability, mentorship, and teamwork.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- A genuine commitment to bringing your God-given talents to your craft - and using them to build something meaningful.
