We have established ourselves as a go-to solutions provider in the construction areas of civil and infrastructure, commercial, residential, public and institutional, industrial, energy, mining and safety services.</p><p></p><p><b>Position Summary</b></p><p>The Labourer is part of an effective construction team that successfully completes projects according to approved plans, specifications and applicable codes while maintaining high quality and a safe workplace.</p><p></p><p><b>Responsibilities</b></p><ul><li>Load and unload construction materials, and move materials to work areas</li><li>Erect and dismantle concrete forms, scaffolding, ramps, catwalks, shoring, barricades and other items required at construction sites</li><li>Assist and work with tradespersons and other members of the construction team</li><li>Assist and work with heavy equipment operators to secure special attachments to equipment, signal operators to guide them in moving equipment and provide assistance in other activities</li><li>Assist in aligning pipes and perform other related activities during underground utilities construction</li><li>Assist in excavation and backfill and other related activities during earthworks construction using shovels, rakes, plate tampers and other applicable tools</li><li>Checks slopes for conformance to requirements, using levels or lasers</li><li>Remove rubble and debris to maintain and clean and safe working environment</li><li>Operate pneumatic hammers, vibrators and tampers as directed</li><li>Operate and maintain machines or equipment used in construction such as mixers, compressors and pumps</li><li>May perform other related duties as required</li></ul><p></p><p><strong>Qualifications</strong></p><ul><li>2+ years experience in a construction environment or in a similar role </li><li>Familiar with construction terms and practices</li><li>Effective verbal and listening communication skills</li><li>Ability to understand and effectively execute verbal and written directions</li><li>Adheres to company Health, Safety, & Environmental reporting and standard assessments</li><li>Must possess a valid driver’s license</li></ul><p></p><p></p><p></p><p></p><p>Powered by JazzHR</p><p>oJTYo205Mv</p></p></p>
