Position Overview


Lambert Nemec Group is supporting an organization in the recruitment of an Labor Relations Business Partner. This role is ideal for an HR professional with strong labour relations experience who is comfortable working independently in a fast-paced, unionized environment.


Key Responsibilities



  • Assist HR leadership team with HRIS administration and serving as a backup for payroll operations.

  • Support collective bargaining preparations and labour relations initiatives.

  • Manage disability cases and WCB claims, ensuring compliance and timely resolution.

  • Act as a trusted resource for employees and leaders on HR policies, labour relations, and workplace issues.

  • Lead investigations and provide guidance on employee and union-related matters.

  • Maintain accurate records and support HR reporting and process improvements.

  • Collaborate with HR team members to ensure consistent application of policies, procedures, and best practices.


Requirements



  • Legally entitled to work in Canada and reside in Winnipeg, Manitoba.

  • CPHR designation required; and a diploma or certificate in Human Resources.

  • Minimum of five (5) years of HR experience, including experience in unionized environments.

  • Strong understanding of multiple collective agreements.

  • Demonstrated experience in labour relations, disability management, WCB claims, and investigations.

  • Tech‑savvy, with experience using Payworks as HRIS is considered an asset.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; comfortable working in both unionized and non‑unionized environments.

  • Proactive mindset and comfortable working in a fast paced environment.
