Salary: $70,000 and $85,000

Reports to:The Assistant Director of the Justice Division in the Presidents Department.

Job Location: Nunavikor Montreal

Benefits:

Responsibilities:

  • Manage a team of fourteen (14) or more Local Justice Committee Coordinators in their daily duties;
  • Assign work and provide constructive feedback to team members;
  • Participate in meetings with government and / or outside organizations;
  • Organize training for all Justice Committee Coordinators and Members;
  • Communicate with local councils and authorities concerning the promotion of the program;
  • Manage relationships with outside partnersby communicating with them daily regarding the completion of referrals to our programs, including but not limited to, Crown Attorneys and Defense lawyers;
  • Serve as a link between the frontline workers and upper management;
  • Conduct performance reviews, motivate team members and provide support to employees;
  • Act as a resource person regarding Inuit culture and traditions to government bodies and organizations, in matters relating to Justice;
  • Be available to travel, as requested;
  • Perform other related duties within the scope of the position or as requested by supervisor.


Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma;
  • Effective communication skills in at least two (2) of the three (3) languages: Inuktitut, English and/or French;
  • Good computer skills : Microsoft Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.);
  • Demonstrates management and leadership skills;
  • Inuit culture and traditions knowledge and understanding, is required;
  • Knowledge of the social, judicial or correctional field is an asset;
  • Experience in a management role with excellent communication and leadership skills;
  • Strong prioritization and organizational skills;
  • Be reliable, autonomous and of good moral character;
  • Security clearance, is required.
