The role will be responsible for completing daily service calls/small projects, control/BAS wiring, fire alarm systems, refrigeration electrical, EV charging installations and commercial TI&#39;s. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, professional work ethic, above average computer skills with Windows-based programs, <span >troubleshooting/analytical</span> experiences, and ability to interact with customers a must.</p><p><strong>Key Responsibilities:</strong></p><ul><li> Performing new installations and repair work on electrical equipment and wiring</li><li> Read and interpret drawings, circuit diagrams and electrical code specifications to determine wiring layouts for new and existing installations</li><li> Cut, bend, thread and install conduits and other types of electrical conductor enclosures and fittings</li><li> Pull wire through conduits, walls and ceiling spaces.</li><li> Splice, join and connect wire to components to form complete control systems</li><li> Troubleshooting, analyzing, repairs, reconditioning and re-installing electrical equipment including HVAC, refrigeration systems and various BAS applications.</li><li> Experience working with electrical and electronic testing equipment</li><li> Reporting on and recommending improvements to electrical and mechanical equipment</li><li> Developing and managing work orders, logs, and other documentation accurately and on time</li><li> Adhere to all company policies and procedures</li><li> Perform tasks with minimal supervision and in accordance with Ainsworth Health & Safety policies and procedures</li><li> Perform all job functions in a safe and healthful manner, abiding by and in accordance with all applicable Health, Safety and Environmental company policies and government <span >legislation/regulations.</span></li><li> Some after hours and weekend work will be required</li></ul><p><strong>Qualifications:</strong></p><ul><li> Journeyman Electrician with Commercial experience (5+ years)</li><li> Knowledge of electrical theory and terminology and the Canadian Electrical Code</li><li> Experience with Fire Alarms is an asset</li><li> Ability to read and draw simple electrical sketches and schematics</li><li> Excellent command of the English Language, both written and oral</li><li> Strong attention to detail, ability to execute precision work</li><li> Strong work ethic and communication skills.</li><li><span >Commercial/Construction</span> installations experience</li><li> Must be able to obtain and pass security clearances once hired.</li><li> Class 5 driver’s license and clean driver’s abstract</li></ul><p></p><p>While we appreciate all applications we receive, we advise that only candidates under consideration will be contacted.</p><p></p><p><em>Ainsworth (a GDI company) is committed to building a diverse and inclusive workplace.
