Role: Java Developer


Duration: 6 months

Rate: Negotiable


Location: Toronto (hybrid)


Description:

Our client is looking to hire a Java Developer for a minimum 6 months.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain Java applications, focusing on Java 8 and Scala.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and implement solutions.
  • Design, build, and optimize software components using Spring Framework.
  • Deploy applications from Pivotal Cloud Foundry (PCF) to OpenShift Container Platform (OCP).
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Java applications.


Requirements


Must-have

  • 7+ years of experience in Java development.
  • Proficiency in Java 8, Scala, and Spring Framework.
  • Familiarity with Pivotal Cloud Foundry (PCF) and OpenCard Framework (OCF).
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.


Nice-to-have

  • Knowledge of microservices architecture and RESTful APIs.
  • Experience with containerization and Kubernetes.
