Esiance Inc. seeks an IT Security and Support Specialist to join our Technology team. You will be a crucial player in keeping our day-to-day operations running smoothly while ensuring that our applications and network systems are always performing at their best. You will help push forward exciting new IT projects that help shape the future of the company. This is a hands-on role and is ideal for someone who loves to problem solve, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and make a tangible impact on IT performance and security.

This is a full-time, in-office position located in Toronto, Canada (M2J 4V6).

Responsibilities

Network and Security Monitoring

• Monitor and maintain our application and network systems to ensure they are reliable and secure, minimizing downtime and maximizing efficiency
• Monitor network traffic, security alerts, and system logs to identify potential security incidents and vulnerabilities
• Conduct regular risk assessments and security audits with a focus on SOC2 compliance to identify potential threats and vulnerabilities and recommend mitigation strategies
• Respond promptly to security breaches or attacks, including investigating and analyzing incidents involving client data

End-User Support and Training

• Provide technical support to company employees and project teams
• Implement and manage end-user cybersecurity measures across technical systems and infrastructure
• Lead initiatives for user awareness and education to enhance security practices and minimize risk
• Enforce IT user policies to maintain compliance with corporate standards and best practices

IT Administration

• Administer and maintain critical network infrastructure, including VPNs, switches, and Wi-Fi, ensuring seamless and secure connectivity
• Lead patch management and application updates to keep our systems stable, secure, and up-to-date
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues impacting network components and service availability.
• Quickly respond to system alerts, perform root cause analysis, and implement solutions to prevent future problems

Knowledge, Policy, and Vendor Management

• Create and maintain thorough technical documentation, knowledge bases, and operational reports to ensure continual improvement and operational excellence
• Maintain business continuity and disaster recovery protocols to ensure data integrity and system availability
• Monitor compliance with corporate SOC2 policies, controls and procedures, including data encryption, access control, and network security measures
• Assist in managing vendor relationships and maintaining service level agreements

Relevant Skills

• Windows 11 desktop operating system administration for end-users
• Configuration of in-office network hardware, network security
• Virtual server management on Microsoft Azure Cloud or similar (Google Cloud, AWS)
• Knowledge of LAMP stack for Web environments (Linux/Apache/MySQL/PHP)
• Usage of corporate security products (CrowdStrike)
• Administration of employee email and accounts (Google Workplace)
• Corporate technology policy development and management (SOC2, TrustCloud)

The compensation for this role offers a range from $65,000 – $70,000 CAD. The final offer will be determined based on the candidate’s experience and expertise, as assessed during the interview process.
