Reporting to the Consumables Purchasing and Warehouse Lead, the Inventory & Warehouse Clerk (Mississauga) will be responsible for ensuring production has the required Consumables to run at its best efficiency without any down time.

Shift: 10:30 am to 7:00 pm Monday to Friday.

What you will be doing:

  • Participates in all aspects of warehouse stockroom including ordering, depletion, tracking (inventory counts) and reconciliation (inventory transaction adjustments).
  • Prepares and issues Purchase Orders including follow up, expediting and review of open PO’s.
  • Receives supplies (Consumables and MRO) and checks items against PO’s. Checks to ensure item is an approved material from an approved supplier and that all stock complies with quality standards of the organization.
  • Ensures proper stock rotation of inventory and that items are stored in appropriate warehouse locations.
  • Stock MRO parts (remove from shipping, receive in system, assign part number, tag, stock on shelf).
  • Backs up Building Maintenance Manager (MRO) and Inventory Coordinator (Consumables).
  • Daily handover meeting with MRO and Consumables to review current task or issues.
  • Provides support on inventory stocking and control for Consumables and MRO inventory. Provides general support for the maintenance department as needed.
  • Works directly with the purchasing team to manage daily plant requirements for Consumable and MRO requirements.
  • Inventory cycle count and adjustment of items: Consumable items – Daily/weekly/monthly. Daily – MRO parts organized by bin by section. Supports initiative to get MRO inventory on the Axapta system.
  • Assist with coordinating and managing various building maintenance & services as well as various scheduled inspections.
  • Maintain approved MRO contractor list and support MRO contractor information package documentation (BRC documentation, Supplier Agreements, Health & Safety).
  • Organize and maintain general housekeeping of warehouse area by collecting skids, packaging and sweeping floors as required

What you will bring:

  • Minimum 3 to 5 years of experience working in a warehouse environment

• Working knowledge of GMP, HACCP, BRC, food safety & quality

• Ability to multi-task and attention to detail (accuracy)

• Ability to work under pressure in a fast paced environment while organizing and prioritizing workload.

• General computer skills (e.g. MS Office skills / Inventory management systems)

• High School Diploma

• BT and Stacker license

• Raymond Reach license is an asset
