<p><b>Purpose</b></p>
<p>We are currently recruiting for an Intermediate Process Engineer - Mining, Minerals and Metals. Our team includes world‑class experts and dynamic go‑getters. This is a full‑time position based in Oakville, Ontario.</p>
<p>We are seeking an energetic and enthusiastic Intermediate Process Engineer for upcoming projects based in our Oakville office who is ready to provide project solutions. Reporting to a Lead Process Engineer, you may lead small brownfield studies/projects and/or provide process design support on larger studies/projects to the Lead Process Engineer. The position has close interaction with other members of Process & Technology North America team and as well as other disciplines.</p>
<p><b>Responsibilities</b></p>
<ul>
<li>Completing conceptual and/or detailed process engineering designs of new or revamp/additions to existing facilities.</li>
<li>Developing design basis documents and reports.</li>
<li>Develop process simulation model.</li>
<li>Carrying out calculations, design development and process simulations including providing process specifications for equipment and instrumentation.</li>
<li>Creating, reviewing and revising process deliverables such as PFDs, PDC, mass, energy & water balance, P&IDs, as well as supporting equipment specification and layout development.</li>
<li>Reviewing and applying relevant standards, regulations, codes and guidelines applicable for task, identify areas of deviation or concern.</li>
<li>Responsible for working within and following company work procedures, process technical guidelines, quality assurance plans, safety regulations and specific customer/project procedures.</li>
<li>Interfacing and coordination between other discipline engineers and project management staff.</li>
<li>Authenticating any of the above process deliverables per the customer requirements.</li>
</ul>
<p><b>What You Will Bring</b></p>
<p><b>Technical and Industry Experience</b></p>
<ul>
<li>Good understanding of mineral processing and hydrometallurgical processes and techniques focusing on base and precious metals extraction.</li>
<li>Proven track record of contributing meaningfully to engineering projects—whether through hands‑on plant exposure, design work, or collaborative study efforts.</li>
<li>Senior Intermediate level of experience working on engineering designing for mining, minerals and metals is required.</li>
<li>Experience in extractive metallurgy.</li>
<li>Operation/plant experience is considered an asset.</li>
<li>Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment.</li>
<li>Demonstrated commitment to quality and continuous learning.</li>
<li>Strong computer skills, proficient with MS Office software.</li>
<li>Additional language skills such as Spanish is considered an asset.</li>
</ul>
<p><b>Process Deliverable Production</b></p>
<ul>
<li>Design Basis Development.</li>
<li>PDC, PFD, P&IDs, and plot layouts.</li>
<li>Mass, Energy and Water balances.</li>
<li>Selection and sizing of process equipment.</li>
<li>Ability to specify process equipment, various types and configurations, including benefits/shortfalls particular to a certain application.</li>
<li>Instrumentation and controls process design.</li>
<li>Understanding of potential process hazards and experience in Risk Assessments.</li>
</ul>
<p><b>Software Skills</b></p>
<ul>
<li>Process Modeling Software (SysCAD, MetSim, HSC, JK SimMet).</li>
<li>Knowledge of standard programs (Excel, Visio, CAD).</li>
</ul>
<p><b>Education – Qualifications, Accreditation, Training</b></p>
<ul>
<li>A Bachelor of Chemical Engineering or Metallurgy.</li>
<li>Registration as a Professional Engineer in Canada or eligibility.</li>
</ul>
