The Role

Equispheres is currently seeking an experienced Industrial Mechanic (Millwright) to join the team.

We are a fast-paced company, engaged in the continued development and commercialization of existing and future production processes.

This role will consist of performing maintenance on existing and future equipment, assisting in troubleshooting and repairs, supporting facility changes and improvements, fabrication of components to support R&D initiatives, and ensuring stringent compliance to safety protocols.

The ideal applicant will have extensive hands-on experience in a production plant environment.

Willingness to provide out-of-hours support on occasion.

This position will work closely with all members of the Equispheres technical and operations teams.



Qualifications & Skills:

  • Ideally a graduate of a related Red-Seal program in related field such as Industrial Mechanic (Millwright).
  • 5+ years of experience working in industrial production plants or related settings.
  • Experience using tools such as lathes, milling machines, bandsaws, and fabrication tools such as welders, breaks and presses.
  • Proven experience in installing and maintenance of compressed air, water and compressed gas within a plant environment.
  • Ability to use precision tools such as laser alignment, dial indicators, micrometers and other measurement devices.
  • Comfortable maintaining and troubleshooting a wide range of industrial process equipment such as valves, pressure/temperature sensors, flow controllers, blowers and pumps.
  • Ability to work independently or with external contractor support when required.
  • Directing and providing oversight to contractors when required.
  • Fabrication of components to support R&D initiatives, process improvements and repairs.
  • Knowledgeable and comfortable in following (and ensuring others follow) required safety protocols, best practices and helping to ensure the company meets applicable safety standards and regulations.
  • Welding experience/certification (TIG & MIG)
