Position Summary
We are seeking an HVAC Service Technician to join our Service / Field Operations team. This role plays a critical part in testing, commissioning, and servicing custom HVAC systems both in-house and at customer sites. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical expertise in HVAC systems, troubleshooting, and client service, with a focus on quality, safety, and reliability.
Key Responsibilities
- Test HVAC units to ensure full functionality prior to deployment
- Start-up and commission HVAC systems at client sites
- Troubleshoot and repair HVAC equipment, components, and electrical systems
- Detect and repair refrigerant leaks; recharge systems as needed
- Perform pipe or tubing joint testing using pressure gauges
- Accurately read and interpret wiring diagrams
- Train apprentices, customers, and site technicians on our systems
- Build and maintain strong client relationships
- Maintain accurate service records and documentation
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Certified Journeyman Refrigeration (or equivalent)
- Alberta Gasfitter A or B Ticket (strong asset)
- Alberta Electrician Ticket (strong asset)
- Valid drivers license with a clean abstract
- Canadian residency (required)
- Ability to travel within Canada and to the USA (valid passport required)
- Strong time management, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent reading, numeracy, and critical thinking abilities
- Proficient with computer systems and diagnostic tools
