To provide support for HR programs focusing on recruitment and retention, employee relations, training and development, payroll and legislative compliance. The HR Generalist will contribute to Hunter’s growth and continued success by building positive relationships throughout the organization demonstrating strong work ethic and the ability to roll up your sleeves and have a real impact in our fast-paced work. environment.</p><p><strong>Key Duties & Responsibilities</strong></p><ul><li>Support HR processes for plant and warehouse locations from full-cycle recruiting and on-boarding, performance management through to the exit interview</li><li>Serve as the first point of contact for employees and supervisors, providing timely and professional support on HR policies, procedures, and general inquiries</li><li>Provide guidance to supervisors and employees on employee relations matters, including attendance management, conflict resolution, and policy interpretation</li><li>Build and maintain strong working relationships with employees and leadership to promote engagement, collaboration, and open communication.</li><li>Assist with the development, communication, and implementation of HR policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with employment legislation and company standards.</li><li>Support compensation administration, including maintaining and updating hourly wage scales.</li><li>Track and analyze key HR metrics such as turnover, recruitment activity, and attendance, preparing regular reports as required.</li><li> Assist with payroll processing and related administrative tasks in collaboration with the payroll team.</li><li> Partner with the Health & Safety Manager and Operations leadership to promote a safe, inclusive, and compliant workplace.</li><li> Travel to other company sites as needed to support HR initiatives, employee relations, and site-specific activities.</li></ul><p><strong>Qualifications & Experience</strong></p><p>• 1-2 years of progressive Human Resources experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.</p><p>• Post-secondary education in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field</p><p>• CHRP designation is preferred</p><p>• Good understanding of the provincial and federal Employment Standards, WSIB and Human Rights legislation</p><p>• Strong interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills with the ability to build trust and maintain confidentiality.</p><p>• Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.</p><p>• Energetic and adaptable, willing to roll up their sleeves and work collaboratively</p><p>• Strong conflict resolution and influencing skills with a proven ability to maintain confidentiality</p><p>• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook); experience with Dayforce or other HRIS platforms is an asset.</p><p><strong>We offer:</strong></p><ul><li><p>A competitive compensation package.</p></li><li><p>An excellent company-paid benefit package including health, dental, life, a matching group RRSP, skills development, and training reimbursement.</p></li><li><p>The opportunity to be part of a fast-growing, dynamic, and successful global team.
