Our communities are among the best places to live in Western Canada.</p><p>Our Vision: For every person to feel at home.</p><p>This is truly supported by our credo. “Let us welcome you home.” All of us here feel it is an honour to work with our residents and we advocate a resident-centered approach where the Resident, is the focus of all our endeavors.</p><p>As the Housekeeper, you are responsible for assisting with providing a welcoming environment  for our residents, employees, and visitors by ensuring our community is clean and cared for.</p><p><strong>Responsibilities</strong></p><ul><li>Professionally clean and maintain resident rooms, common areas, including bathroom facilities</li><li>Sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, dusting, and washing all surfaces</li><li>Move furniture as needed</li><li>Collect, wash, and iron laundry, returning resident laundry </li><li>Maintain a tidy linen storage area</li><li>Replenish consumable items such as soaps and paper products</li><li>Spot clean walls and furniture, including windows and sills</li><li>Collect and remove trash and debris</li><li>Demonstrate awareness of accident and injury prevention, through safe work practices and procedures, including keeping housekeeping areas tidy</li><li>Identify safety concerns through daily walk through and staff/resident updates</li><li>Identify and report any damages to maintenance team</li><li>Ability to be decisive when dealing with difficult and/or crisis situations</li><li>Maintain cleaning supply stock</li><li>Other duties as assigned to support operational requirements</li></ul><p><strong>Qualifications and Experience</strong></p><ul><li>Minimum one (1) year of <span >residential/commercial</span> cleaning is required</li><li>Experience in an aging adults setting is an asset</li><li>Completion of Highschool Diploma is an asset</li><li>Completion of CPR and First Aid is an asset</li><li>Superior organizational skills</li><li>Exceptional interpersonal skills with peers, residents, visitors and operational partners</li><li>Superior oral and written communication skills</li><li>Demonstrate the ability to prioritize and problem solve</li></ul><p><strong>Conditions of Employment</strong></p><ul><li>Ability to stand for extended periods of time, bend, squat, kneel and lift over 20 pounds</li><li>Strong Attention to Detail</li><li>Clear Police Information Check</li><li>Clear Vulnerable Sector Check</li></ul><p></p><p>Powered by JazzHR</p><p>x9506zXLZG</p></p></p>
