Responsibilities:

• Monitor and control access to the site, ensuring that only authorized persons can enter.
• Carry out regular patrols of the premises to identify and resolve security risks.
• Incident response: Respond to security incidents and emergencies, ensuring the safety of all concerned.
• Operate and monitor security systems, including CCTV, access control and alarm systems.
• Reporting: Maintain accurate security logs and incident reports; escalate issues as necessary.
• Compliance: Ensure compliance with provincial and local security regulations.
• Team collaboration: Work closely with other safety personnel and customer staff to maintain a safe environment

Qualifications:

• 6 months to 1 year of proven experience as a security officer
• Fluent in English (verbal and written)
• Computer skills required: Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) for reports and documentation.
• High school diploma or equivalent (GED) or equivalent work experience.
• Must possess a valid Provincial Security License
• First aid certificate required
• Provide documents that confirm you can work 40 hours per week in Canada.
• Must be at least 18 years old.

Driving Positions:

• Valid full driver’s license (for driving positions)
• Must be 25 years of age or older for insurance purposes
• Obtain a clean driver abstract
