<p>Company:</p><p>Finning Canada</p><p>Worker Type:</p><p>Permanent</p><p>Position Overview:</p><p>Reporting directly to the Service Supervisor, the position of Field Service Heavy Equipment Technician will be responsible for troubleshooting and overseeing repairs on a variety of Caterpillar equipment primarily in the field.</p><p>Job Description:</p><p>Major Job Functions:</p><ul><li>Troubleshoot, repair and maintain all heavy duty equipment and/or related equipment in a timely fashion and on customer site.</li><li>Respond to customer needs in a positive, supportive, and timely manner to ensure maximum value for work performed.</li><li>Diagnose faults or malfunctions using computerized and other testing equipment to determine extent of repair required.</li><li>Adjust equipment and repair or replace defective parts, components or systems, using hand and power tools.</li><li>Test repaired equipment for proper performance and to ensure that work meets manufacturer specifications.</li><li>Perform routine maintenance work.</li><li>Various related duties as required.</li></ul><p>Competencies:</p><ul><li>Customer Focus: Being successful means continuously paying attention to customer needs and adapting as these evolve.
