Heavy Duty Diesel Mechanic
Job Description
Join our team as a full-time Heavy-Duty Diesel Mechanic supporting our ready-mix concrete operations at Tritec Concrete in St. Eustache, MB. You'll play a key role in maintaining our fleet of ready-mix agitator trucks, semi-trucks, loaders and various machinery to ensure reliable, safe, and efficient deliveries to our customers. Our shop comes equipped with in-floor heating and all the necessary tools and equipment to perform repairs on our machinery safely and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, brake, and electrical faults on heavy-duty vehicles and ready-mix agitator trucks
- Perform scheduled servicing and preventative maintenance across the fleet
- Maintain and repair engines, transmissions, suspension systems, and PTO-driven components
- Conduct inspections on agitator systems, chutes, water systems, and mixers
- Support breakdown response to minimise operational downtime
- Keep accurate maintenance and compliance records (Service logs, defect reports)
- Ensure all work is completed safely and in line with company and industry standards
Requirements
- Certificate Heavy Commercial Vehicle Mechanical Technology (or equivalent trade qualification / work experience)
- Experience working with heavy trucks, construction equipment, or ready-mix/concrete agitator fleets (highly regarded)
- Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced operational environment
- Valid driver's licence (Class 3)
- Strong commitment to safety and compliance
