This is a <strong>contract position</strong> with <strong>hourly compensation</strong>, offering an exciting opportunity to support a major client in the <strong>industrial (automotive) construction industry</strong>.</p><p><strong>About the Role</strong><br /> As a Health & Safety Associate, you will serve as a trusted advisor in all aspects of occupational health and safety. You’ll oversee OHS requirements, guide risk and hazard control processes, and collaborate closely with client project teams to ensure compliance and maintain a safe, productive work environment.</p><p> <strong>Work Location:</strong> Cambridge, ON <br /> <strong>Position Type:</strong> Contract (Hourly)<br /> <strong>Industry Focus:</strong> Industrial / Automotive Construction</p><p><strong>What You’ll Be Doing</strong><br /> ✔ Providing expertise and guidance on health, safety, and environmental issues in an industrial construction setting<br /> ✔ Acting as a key advisor to project teams, assisting with hazard identification and control processes<br /> ✔ Supporting the implementation of client-specific safety plans<br /> ✔ Monitoring contractor performance through safety plan reviews, orientations, meetings, inspections, and audits<br /> ✔ Verifying contractor compliance with training, equipment, safety talks, and corrective actions<br /> ✔ Performing and documenting regular site safety inspections and audits, ensuring timely corrective actions<br /> ✔ Assisting with incident and accident investigations, as required<br /> ✔ Liaising with internal operations staff and regulatory agencies<br /> ✔ Preparing detailed and professional reports, timesheets, and internal documentation<br /> ✔ Performing other duties as needed to support the operations team</p><p><strong>What You Bring</strong><br /> ✅ Certificate or Diploma in Occupational Health & Safety, or certification in a construction trade with equivalent experience<br /> ✅ 5+ years of onsite Health & Safety experience <strong>(automotive construction)</strong><br /> ✅<strong> Must have</strong> NCSO.</p><p>✅GSC-CSC, CRSP, or CHST (preferred)<br /> ✅ Strong working knowledge of Ontario OHSA and Regulations for Construction Projects<br /> ✅ Proficiency with Microsoft Office and digital reporting tools (computers, tablets)<br /> ✅ Hands-on experience with field-level audits and inspections<br /> ✅ Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively (verbal and written)<br /> ✅ Initiative, ability to multitask, and strong expectation management skills<br /> ✅ Completion of key safety certifications <strong>(Working at Heights, WHMIS, Ontario 4/5 Steps, LOTO/CoHE, Confined Spaces, etc.)</strong></p><p><strong>Interview Process</strong><br /> One-round video interview with the HSE Operations Managing Principal.</p><p><strong>Equal Opportunity Employer</strong><br /> CrossSafety Holdings Inc. is committed to fostering an inclusive and respectful workplace.
