Our private SME client has over 40 years experience in the sourcing, distribution and wholesale business of specialty hardware products. They are experts in supplier and logistics management.



Hiring for a Head of Finance -this position will have you reporting to the company CEO and a VP Finance at the Parent company. Responsible for the day to day financial operations, office administration, HR, and company payroll (US&CDN) and also be a strategic business partner at the leadership table. This position if for the Senior financial professional who understands the big picture and loves being hands on.

  • Financial reporting
  • Tax & Compliance
  • Financial Planning & Forecasting
  • Manage working Capital and banking
  • HR and Payroll (CDN And US Payroll) Under 50 employees
  • Administration – Record Keeping of all legal documents, licences, memberships, insurance etc..
  • Manage and mentor a small team of 2-3 including a Senior and Junior Accountant


About you:

  • CPA designated or equivalent education
  • Minimum 10+ years in a Controllership or above role with demonstrated leadership experience
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to articulate financial issues, budgets and forecasts
  • Strong business acumen with solid knowledge of experience within the material sourcing, supply chain, distribution or warehousing industries is preferred.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills with the ability to identify trends, establish benchmarks, as well as provide credible analysis and business recommendations for future growth including acquisitions, or alternate revenue streams.
