<b>Guidewire Technical Lead<br></b>

We are looking for a highly experienced and solutions-driven professional with deep expertise in Guidewire Billing Center to take on a permanent role within the insurance industry. Reporting directly to the AVP – Software Engineering, you will lead the design and delivery of scalable, user-focused solutions in a fast-paced, global environment. This hybrid position is based in Markham, with in-office collaboration expected at least two days per week.<br>

<b>Responsibilities:</b><b><br></b>
<br>
<br>• Review software requirements efficiently.<br>
<br>• Build architectural diagrams and design documents.<br>
<br>• Design screens, business rules, and workflow changes.<br>
<br>• Write programs and configure, package, and deploy software.<br>
<br>• Establish and follow coding standards.<br>
<br>• Debug and unit test code.<br>
<br>• Perform peer code reviews.<br>
<br>• Mentor junior resources<br>
<br>
<b>What you will need to succeed:</b><b><br></b>
<br>
<br>• Bachelor's (or higher) degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.<br>
<br>• Guidewire Cloud Certification.<br>
<br>• 10+ years of experience in Guidewire application development.<br>
<br>• 7+ years of Guidewire development experience.<br>
<br>• Must have Guidewire Billing Center configuration experience.<br>
<br>• Knowledge of Guidewire Policy Center configuration is an asset.<br>
<br>• Expertise in GOSU language, configuration and coding using Guidewire tools and accelerators, Guidewire Batch, and predefined plugins.<br>
<br>• Experience reading code in other languages and reverse engineering products.<br>
<br>• Strong background in Agile software development with tools such as Git, Bitbucket, Jenkins, Jira, and Confluence.<br>
<br>• 7+ years of experience coding RESTful APIs<br>
<br>• 7+ years of experience with programming languages such as C#, Java, and Python.<br>
<br>• 7+ years of experience with relational databases and SQL, preferably MS SQL Server and Transact SQL.<br>
<br>• Expertise in end-to-end design and development of business database applications.<br>
<br>• Experience building modern web applications and designing REST/JSON Web APIs.<br>
<br>• Solid understanding of design thinking and customer-centric development.<br>
<br>• Domain knowledge of Property & Casualty Insurance.<br>
