<h3>Expectations</h3><p>The General Manager is responsible for running a profitable restaurant and ensuring the restaurant meets McDonald’s critical customer standards of Quality, Service, and Cleanliness. This role involves setting restaurant goals with leadership and creating a plan to achieve those goals.</p><p>The General Manager leads a team of Department Managers and provides coaching and direction to help their departments improve. The role may include hiring and developing Department and Shift Managers to ensure the restaurant has the right team for the future.</p><p>Ideal candidates should have experience leading teams. A background in quick service restaurants is strongly desired, or experience in hospitality or retail. You must be 18 years or older to be a manager in corporate-owned and operated restaurants.</p>
<h3>Responsibilities</h3><ul><li>Lead a team of Department Managers and provide coaching and direction to achieve restaurant goals.</li><li>Set and monitor department goals, follow up on progress, and develop team capabilities.</li><li>Hire and develop Department and Shift Managers as needed to ensure strong leadership.</li></ul> <h3>Qualifications</h3><ul><li>Experience leading teams, preferably in quick service restaurants, hospitality, or retail.</li><li>Must be 18 years or older to be a manager.</li><li>Strong leadership, coaching, and organizational skills.</li></ul>
