<h3>Job Description</h3><p>Job Description<p><strong>GENERAL MANAGER</strong><br />Golds Gym University Marketplace is hiring full time General Manager / General Manager- In Training, with potential to grow! Are you outgoing, enthusiastic, with a passion for fitness? We would love to hear from you!<br><br><strong>About Golds Gym BC</strong><br />Big Brand Name - Canadian Owned and Operated.<br><br><strong>Compensation<br /></strong><em>$3500 monthly + commissions<br><br></em><strong><em>Shifts Required<br /></em></strong><em>Full-Time<br />5 Days a week, 1 weekend day required<br />Evening shifts required, must be available evenings until 8pm+ </em><br><br><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong><br /><ul><li>Ensure the proper upkeep and over all facility operation</li><li>Assume responsibility to ensure all team members are meeting targets (sales, personal training, customer service representatives, etc.)</li><li>Meet and exceed team sales quota by monitoring sales KPIs, forecasting, fine-tuning sales processes, and ensuring consistency of sales metrics among the team</li><li>Inspire and grow your team through leading by examples and building a positive team spirit</li><li>Develop, implement and monitor team member succession planning to help develop team members</li><li>Provide exceptional leadership and manage and grow an effective sales team</li><li>Develop, build and acquire new corporate accounts to increase revenue for the club</li><li>Draft and submit sales and operation reports to upper management as required</li><li>Work closely with all functional teams (human resources, operations, personal training, marketing, finance, customer service, etc.) as a key contributor to the companys overall success and profitability</li><li>Participate in events to generate new sales, such as trade shows, open houses, member appreciation nights, etc.)</li><li>Deliver financial results by creating a positive and supportive environment, setting standards in customer service and staff training and development</li><li>Able to self organize with a strong attention to detail, work within budgets, have a responsibility for timelines and be able to think creatively to drive sales initiatives to the club</li><li>Recognize potential and create staff development plans for employees based on career aspirations and address poor performance; initiate and administer performance improvement action plans and/or corrective action as necessary</li><li>Delegate effectively by assigning and overseeing completion of all club responsibilities through the work of others</li><li>Generate sales through providing guests with tours of the facility, business to business outreach, referrals from members, and promoting the facility by distributing guest passes to prospective members</li><li>Resolve escalate customer complaints in a professional, respectful manner;</li><li>Educate and empower your team to resolve customer concerns in the moment</li><li>Be active in the community by organizing events regularly, connecting with other local businesses to support healthy relationships and marketing opportunities</li><li>Monitors and adjusts schedules to maximize employee productivity, obtain payroll goals and cover key business hours/peak days</li><li>Assist with shift coverage as needed</li><li>Complete all new hire on boarding training to master base tasks and advanced leadership tasks and habits</li></ul><strong>Qualifications</strong><br /><ul><li>Active in the UBC community / or Attended UBC with a already established personal pipeline is an asset</li><li>Strong leadership skills, with ability to motivate and influence people</li><li>College or University degree preferred, with minimum two (2) years professional experience</li><li>Experience in the health and wellness industry is preferred</li><li>Ability to multi-task and perform calmly in a fast paced environment</li><li>Strong administrative skills including payroll, scheduling, ordering inventory, and report generating</li></ul><strong>What We Offer</strong><br /><ul><li>Positive, rewarding, and collaborative team environment</li><li>Competitive compensation</li><li>Complimentary club membership</li><li>Discount on Golds Gym products and services</li><li>*Health Benefits</li></ul><br /></p></p>
