Headquartered in Yellowknife, NT, we operate in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, delivering innovative solutions to industrial clients.</p><p>We are seeking an experienced and results-driven <b>General Manager</b> to oversee office and shop operations as well as project and job estimating. This is a unique opportunity for a seasoned leader who excels in both strategic operations and the technical precision of estimating large-scale projects.</p><p><b>You must be a Canadian resident and either local to Yellowknife or willing to relocate.</b></p><p><b>Compensation is based on experience and is competitive and will start at the range $145,000 - $155,000</b></p><h3>Responsibilities</h3><ul><li>Overseeing general business operations, project execution, and team leadership</li><li>Preparing accurate cost estimates and competitive bids for complex projects</li><li>Developing and executing bid strategies in collaboration with internal teams</li><li>Managing financial reporting, budgets, and operational metrics</li><li>Ensuring company compliance with safety standards, HR policies, and WSCC regulations</li><li>Supporting business development efforts with client presentations and proposal submissions</li></ul><h3>Qualifications</h3><ul><li>Minimum 10 years of experience in construction, fabrication, or industrial project management</li><li>At least 10 years of estimating experience on large-scale or custom projects</li><li>Proven leadership and team-building skills in a fast-paced environment</li><li>Strong communication, organizational, and decision-making abilities</li><li>Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel and Word)</li><li>Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel as needed</li><li>Certifications such as WSCC Supervisor Level 2 and Standard First Aid are assets</li><li>Education in business, engineering, construction management, or a related trade is preferred</li></ul><h3>Additional Information</h3><p>This position is ideal for someone ready to take full ownership of operational performance while applying their expertise to high-value project estimating.
