You’re looking for an organization that respects you, encourages lifelong learning, and makes a high-quality, essential product.  We’re Fruitland Manufacturing (http://www.fruitlandmanufacturing.com/Home) , a vacuum pump manufacturer specializing in truck and trailer-mounted vacuum pumps and systems. Our vacuum pumps can be found in agriculture, waste management, oil and gas, and many other industries.  Due to growing demand for our components, we’re searching for a new, long-term assembly technician to join us.  General Labourer Your role will be to work in a diverse manufacturing environment completing tasks like assembling pumps and sub-assemblies as well as working in other areas of the plant  while complying with ISO and quality procedures. Troubleshooting and repairing any rebuilds brought in by customers give added variety to the job.  You’ll do well in this role if you possess: * Mechanical aptitude – you love working with parts, machinery, and tools.  * Resourcefulness – you know that there’s more than one way to a solution, and keep trying when you hit a roadblock. * Attention to detail – you’re conscientious, with an eagle eye for detail. Typical shop hours are Monday to Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:15 p.m, but we also offer a 4-day work week with a 10-hour shift. We offer competitive remuneration based on experience, group benefits, and RSP enrollment after successful milestones have been achieved.    Qualifications * Good mechanical aptitude is essential * General labour, production, and/or assembly experience is an asset * Knowledge of pump build procedures and part production is an asset * Experience with die-grinders, belt sanders, disc-grinders, and other hand tools is an asset  How to Apply  Our online application will allow you to apply to this role as a complete person – not just a resume.
