General Counsel (Maternity Contract)

We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced General Counsel to join our globally leading automotive client on a maternity contract (12-14 months). As the General Counsel, you will play a critical role in advising the organization on various legal matters, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations, and safeguarding our interests.Remote position with flexibility to be in office as and when required.

Responsibilities:

• Provide expert legal advice and support to the company, its subsidiaries, and affiliates.
• Manage legal risks by reviewing, negotiating, and drafting a wide range of contracts and agreements.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to address legal issues related to privacy, data protection, consumer protection, marketing, and advertising.
• Stay up to date with relevant laws, regulations, and industry trends to ensure compliance and mitigate legal risks.
• Conduct legal research and analysis to support decision-making and provide guidance on complex legal issues.
• Coordinate and manage external legal counsel when required.

Requirements:

• 5-7+ years PQE in a generalized practice area.
• Strong expertise in privacy, data protection, consumer protection, marketing, and advertising is strongly preferred.
• Experience in the automotive industry or related field is highly advantageous.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
• Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and work under pressure to meet deadlines.
• Detail-oriented with a high level of integrity and professionalism.
