<h3>Job Description</h3><p>Job Description<p><p><strong><span >Gardening/Landscape</span> Team Leader</strong></p><p><strong>About the Role</strong><br />Sakura Gardens is seeking a motivated and experienced Team Leader to oversee garden maintenance and installation projects. This hands-on role involves supervising a small crew (2-5 members), ensuring work quality, and providing excellent client service. </p><p><strong>Responsibilities</strong></p><ul><li>Lead and work alongside the team in tasks like planting, pruning, mulching, and garden installations. </li></ul><ul><li>Operate landscaping tools and equipment (e.g., trimmers, blowers, small machinery). </li></ul><ul><li>Manage site setup, including digging, planting, occasional flagstone and 2-man armour stone installations. </li></ul><ul><li>Oversee daily tasks, ensuring safety standards and quality results. </li></ul><ul><li>Train new team members and maintain a positive work environment. </li></ul><ul><li>Coordinate schedules, track projects, and use job management software. </li></ul><ul><li>Communicate with clients and address inquiries professionally. </li></ul><ul><li>Perform equipment maintenance and manage inventory. </li></ul><ul><li>Drive company vehicles and handle occasional errands. </li></ul><p><strong>Requirements</strong></p><ul><li>High school diploma (horticulture education preferred). </li></ul><ul><li>Minimum 2 years of landscaping experience, with 1 year in a leadership role. </li></ul><ul><li>Availability from March to December (weather permitting). </li></ul><ul><li>Physically fit and able to work in various weather conditions. </li></ul><ul><li>Strong attention to detail, problem-solving, and teamwork skills. </li></ul><ul><li>Experience with flagstone and 2-man armour stone installation is an asset. </li></ul><ul><li>Valid G2 driver’s license with reliable transportation. </li></ul><ul><li>Experience with technology & team management software is an asset. </li></ul><p><strong>Compensation and Benefits</strong></p><ul><li>Hourly wage: $26-$34 (based on experience). </li></ul><ul><li>Allowances for phone, uniform, tools and education. </li></ul><ul><li>Tax, EI, and CPP deductions apply. </li></ul><ul><li>Team members must provide their own small tools. </li></ul><p>Sakura Gardens is dedicated to creating a supportive, growth-oriented environment.
