We are looking for a results-driven individual with both backend cloud platform experience and frontend Android development experience to complement our expanding team.
In this role, you will design and develop solutions to complex application challenges and other network optimizations. You will also be responsible for all interactions between our mobile apps and the backend, including API integration to external 3rd party APIs and for web reporting portal development and maintenance. You will work on new development projects in the shared mobility space working primarily with state departments of transportation.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the optimization of the AWS infrastructure and AWS Lambda functions that work with our mobile applications
- Strong experience with AWS CDK for infrastructure as code
- Working with 3rd party clients to integrate RideFlag data with their APIs.
- Monitor system operations to detect potential problems
- Collaborate with the Android development staff with code optimization and engineering support to solve interesting challenges
- Explore and implement navigation features in our Android app
- API unit testing and test automation
- Manage backup and recovery operations
- Perform routine software maintenance
Qualifications:
- Cloud experience – AWS certification is an asset
- Previous experience Experience with microservices architecture, CI/CD pipelines
- Deep knowledge of serverless architecture, Lambda functions, and API Gateway is an asset
- Familiarity with both NoSQL databases (DynamoDB) and Relational Databases
- Android development experience; preferably Kotlin
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
- Knowledge of VIPER design pattern is a strong asset
- Knowledge of test automation is an asset
