As our client base expands, we are looking for a talented and detail-oriented Freelance Junior Interior Designer to join our team on a project-by-project basis. This is a great opportunity for a passionate designer looking to gain hands-on experience and contribute to exciting projects.
Position: Freelance Junior Interior Designer
Type: Project-Based (Remote with occasional site visits, if applicable)
Location: Toronto
Responsibilities:
• Assist in preparing design documentation, including detailed floor plans, elevations, and technical drawings.
• Create 2D/3D visualizations and renderings to support client presentations.
• Source materials, finishes, and furnishings as needed for specific projects.
• Collaborate closely with the lead designer to translate concepts into actionable plans.
• Revise designs based on feedback and ensure deliverables meet project deadlines.
• Coordinate with vendors and contractors to ensure designs are executed accurately (as required).
Qualifications:
• Degree or diploma in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field.
• Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD & SketchUp
• Strong technical drawing and drafting skills, with attention to detail.
• Knowledge of materials, finishes, and design trends.
• Ability to meet deadlines and work independently while maintaining open communication.
• Experience with residential/commercial design projects is a plus.
• A professional portfolio showcasing your work.
