<p><h3>Overview</h3><p>The YMCA of Regina is an Imagine Canada accredited non-profit charity open to all and dedicated to building strong kids, strong families and strong communities. The YMCA delivers programming focused on our three pillars of service: health & fitness, childcare & community development. We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Director of Fitness & Membership to manage the daily operations of Membership Services and lead the development, execution, and oversight of all health & fitness programs at our new facility in Moose Jaw. The Director reports to the General Manager of Health, Fitness, Aquatics and Membership.</p><h3>Responsibilities</h3><ul><li>Ensure alignment with Y Way service standards, oversee membership sign-ups, sales promotions, and reporting, and ensure smooth daily operations of the fitness center, including equipment maintenance and safety.</li><li>Develop and meet sales goals for member growth and retention, and collaborate on membership sales and marketing strategies, including corporate membership expansion.</li><li>Oversee Health & Wellness, Group Fitness programs, and volunteer engagement activities, ensuring certifications are up to date.</li><li>Recruit, train, supervise, and schedule employees in Membership Services & Fitness.</li><li>Overall responsibility for ensuring the accuracy of all administrative functions of the membership department including new membership sign-ups, sales promotions, failed payments, monthly reporting and cash reconciliation.</li><li>Work closely with the GM of HFA and Membership to develop and implement annual membership sales and marketing calendar including adoption of Membership Growth Services campaigns.</li><li>Other duties as assigned by General Manager of HFA and Membership related to department’s needs.</li></ul><h3>Job requirements</h3><ul><li>Post-secondary degree in Kinesiology, Health Education, with 3-5 years of experience in health and fitness programming and 2 years in management.</li><li>Current CSEP-CPT, CanFitPro, or YMCA Personal Training certification is required.</li><li>Current Group Fitness Certification (SPRA, CanFitPro, NASM, ACE, or YMCA group certification) is required.</li><li>Ability to handle medical emergencies, work evenings and weekends, and lead moderate to high-intensity fitness classes.</li><li>Strong knowledge of fitness trends, safety protocols, and program development.</li><li>Experience in hiring, training, and managing sales teams, coaching, and fostering a high-performance culture.</li><li>Experience with CRM systems (e.g., ActiveNet) and scheduling platforms.</li><li>Ability to lead a minimum of 1-hour moderate to high-intensity fitness classes.</li><li>Ability to lift and carry 40 lbs or more.</li><li>Current Standard First Aid and CPR-Level C Certifications.</li><li>Current criminal record check with Vulnerable Sector Search.</li></ul><h3>Employer</h3><p>The YMCA of Regina is an equal opportunity employer and provides a competitive total rewards package.
